Claire - 4 to 6 months old

From 4 to 6 months old, Claire seemed to learn new things in leaps and bounds.

In month 4, she started to "blow bubbles" and make motor boat sounds (which she thought was hilarious and would giggle each time).  She also started spinning around in her crib at night.  We'd set her down one way and she'd wake up turned 180 degrees!  She started "talking" more, sitting in her Bumbo, bouning in her jump-a-roo and will reach out and grab things (especially her feet).  Right before her 4 month birthday, she rolled from her back to her belly!

Month 5 brought more milestones - eating rice cereal and then baby food, bearing weight on her legs, blowing "raspberries" on her arm, and doing a fake "cough" - she makes us laugh every day.  By her 5 month birthday, she had grown to 16lbs 14oz!

Not a big fan of green beans...

By her "half birthday" she started making "ba" sounds, grunting vs. talking (which she thinks is hilarious) and responding when she hears her name.  Some new friends were born too - Lily Olderog, Jax Feller and cousin Nyle Wentland!  I had my first night away from her for a conference for work, and by the time I returned 2 days later, she had a surprise for me - she rolled from her belly to her back!  She then started sleeping on her tummy fairly regularly.  She had her first overnight at Nana and Papa Schlumpf's by herself and then we celebrated my 30th birthday.  Claire also started sitting up by herself, and she loves to sit and play with her toys like a big girl now :)

Daddy was so excited for Claire's 6 month birthday that he bought special treats.  From the looks of things, she can't wait to get her hands on some cake at her first birthday.  She's now 17 lbs, 11 oz and 27 inches long!
